About Us
Since 1991 the youth wing has grown....
This is a separate wing where the youngsters of the church are encouraged to hone their talents and skills to work for the glory of God. They are also motivated to participate in the activities of the church and share in its responsibilities. As part of their social commitment, the youth wing lends financial support to provide education for children from poor families and contributes generously to charitable organizations.
From humble beginnings in 1991, the youth wing has grown considerably over the last twenty-six years. It began with a governing body consisting of only the pastor and a co-ordinator, which was later strengthened with two other sub-coordinators. However, since 2006, the committee has been enriched by the presence of a secretary, a treasurer, and two committee members, under the chairmanship of the pastor. For spiritual edification of upcoming generations, a youth meeting is conducted every third Thursday of the month, Online over Zoom, between 8 and 9.30 pm. Bible quizzes, solo and group songs, motivational speeches, and several other programs form the core of these meetings and help reinforce spiritual lessons and teachings in these young minds.
OPA youth fest is another effort of Pentecostal Assembly Muscat Youth Fellowship for the spiritual empowerment of the youth. This annual event is often conducted for two days and eminent youth pastors and leaders are invited as guest speakers. Usually conducted during the Eid holidays, this program is one of the most delightful events for the youth of the church.
An in-house publication called Manna bears testimony to the commitment and dedication of these youngsters while showcasing their writing skills. To add life to their efforts, the Youth Fellowship conducts one-day picnic during public holidays, as well as talent tests in four categories Sub Junior, Junior, Senior, and General.
Youth Fellowship has been blessed by spirit-filled and imaginative leadership during the past years. The committee is chaired by the Pastor of the church and has a secretary, treasurer, a committee member, and a representative of the Church Council.
